 "Baby Loves It! " 2009-03-08
By Taryn K. Potter-outman (Wellsville)
We love this chair! It's helping baby learn to sit faster. With it being so lightweight, it moves easily from one room to another. We use it for feeding and it takes up so much less room. Love it!

 "A place he'll happily sit!" 2008-04-16
By M. Staudacher (APO, AP United States)
We ordered the Bumbo seat after seeing how much a friend's (smaller) baby enjoyed his. My son is 6 months old and is in the 75 percentile for height and weight, and he can sit up on his own. Despite being able to sit up on his own, this provides a safe and stable place for him to sit without me worrying about him. I've never seen him come close to tipping the chair over and he is very antsy. He doesn't get bored with sitting in it like he does his bouncy seat because it sits him upright, not reclined. We take the Bumbo where ever we are in the house so that my son can hang out with us.

The only drawback I see is that his fat little legs get wedged in the top of the leg holes. This seat is supposed to be suitable for children up to age 2, but I don't see this happening for our son. He is 18 lbs and 27 1/2" tall, and this chair might last him a couple more months before we can't get him in and out of it. I wish we had bought it sooner since it makes life more enjoyable for the whole family. I highly recommend this seat, just be warned that your child, if on the larger side, might outgrow it faster then you anticipated.

"This is great for babies 4+ Months" 2008-04-14
By 2BabyGirls4Us (California)
This seat has a purpose to help babies learn to sit up on their own when they're in that transitional phase where they can't sit up on their own, but they don't want to lay down. My daughter likes it and is able to sit with us in it. It doesn't take up any room either, since it fits in a small place whenever you want to put it away. I recommend this cute seat, great for baby's development.

 "what's the use?" 2008-03-22
By Tiffany Duncan
The product looks good, but it took my 7mth old 2min. and he was lying on the floor.(the seat was on the floor.) He just leaned over and turned his head to follow the rumbba(vacuum cleaner) and he was able to get right out! I was shocked that it was that easy. I wanted to sit him in this so that he wouldn't go anywhere....WHATEVER! The seat seemed a little bit big for a child under 6mths. It says it is meant for a child learning to sit up, but I am glad I have the tray (which is a bit flimsy to me) or I would be extremely unhappy. These are my views. I know this product is a "hot" product right now and so because everyone else has one people will probably rate it good, but I was not at all impressed!

"The tray is too hard to attach" 2010-02-06
By Karen Gillett (houston,tx)
I like having a booster seat rather than a full size high chair. It takes up less room and works just as well. But not his one, the tray is such a pain to attach! We finally stopped using it and purchased the fisher price model that is very similar to this--except the tray is MUCH easier to attach.

"Only Looks Like the Fisher Price Version" 2009-10-26
By S. Garth (USA)
This seat looks like the Fisher Price, but is not even close! Received this as a baby shower gift and didn't open it until about 4 months later when I was ready to try it. BIG MISTAKE! The tray would not fit on the chair no matter how hard I tried. It had been to long to return to the store and they suggested I contact the manufacturer since it was defected. I did, they were friendly, but in the end just caused me to waist more time. In order to send me a new tray I had to provide them proof that I had registered for this as a shower gift. It was a little bit of a hassle, but I was able to get a receipt for that and send it to them. They sent me another tray which didn't even look like the right size. Needless to say, it wouldn't fit either. I contacted them again and was told that they appreciated my time and would make sure they noted that there were some problems with this item. I replaced it with the Fisher Price and am so happy with that product, that we have never even bothered moving the big highchair out of storage for our second son. They may look the same but, I found the Safety 1st version to be junk. It was definitely a waist of time and money.

 "DON'T BUY THIS!" 2008-04-01
By A. Weatherholt
Not only is the tray nearly impossible to get on and off, but it's a safety issue, as well. My nine month old began to choke and I needed to get her out of the chair quickly - and couldn't. Luckily, she was okay, but I'm afraid to use the chair anymore. Also, if your child has even slightly chunky thighs or a thick waist this won't work for you. The tray sits really low on their legs and pinches and I can't even get the seatbelt to buckle around her waist (it's not long enough). My daughter is only in the 75th percentile for her age - so she's not that big.

"LOVE this, in spite of the tray challenges" 2008-01-03
By M. Skelton (Vienna, VA)
I agree that the tray took some practice, but now that we've mastered it, we absolutely love it. I can now snap the tray on and off accurately in about a second, but it did take some practice. Once you realize you're not going to break anything by just pressing really firmly, you get used to it and can easily line it up for the right setting, and you can have every confidence that it's secure. We love the portability and we take it everywhere; once my daughter outgrew her regular high chair, we also started using this as our everyday booster seat at the table at home. I'm about to buy a second one for our 6-month old! It's probably the best $20 I've spent on a kid item.

 "Impossible-to-attach Tray" 2007-09-30
By First time mother (West Hartford, CT)
My 10-month old recent tried an older model booster chair at a friend's and I thought it would be a great thing to have when visiting relatives, etc. My friend's chair was a Safety First product, and I thought this would be the same/similar to the older model that we tried at her house -- wrong! She must have something like the Safety First Grow With Me Portable Booster Seat, because the model that I purchased (featured here) has an *impossible* tray that I cannot attach. I have tried several times and have succeeded only twice. I am 5'4" 110 lbs and I had to apply MAXIMUM force to get the tray to snap in -- I cannot imagine performing this task while my hungry child sits in the seat! I am *really* disappointed. I plan to return this featured chair to the store today. Safety First really needs to re-examine the snap-in design of this tray...

 "Strong Perfume Odor" 2010-02-07
By Verne Stolte (Iowa)
My purchase has been airing out for nearly 2 months. It smells like it has been dipped and soaked in perfume. At first I let it outgas in an attached garage but eventually moved it outside where I suppose it serves as a wildlife repellent.

I'm not sure how it works as a booster seat but if you want instant potpourri - odd mixture of chemical outgassing and a kind of baby powder smell - then this is for you. It makes my eyes water.

Other reviews talk about the paint peeling off. Perhaps, this coating is the source of the odor. After some more "weathering" I hope to let my granddaughter try it out before she graduates to regular chairs.

"Buy the Cooshee brand - these are very hard to clean" 2010-02-02
By It's time to play! (San Francisco)
I purchased four of these for my daycare and regret it. They are very hard to clean because the seat has a texture that food sticks in. There's no just wiping these down. You have to spray them down and really scrub. I have owned the Cooshee brand as well and they are far superior. I wish I would have spent the extra few dollars for Cooshees.

This does it's job. I have to scrub the seat with a Magic Eraser because a normal wash cloth sometimes will not remove the food.

"Finally, an East to Clean Booster Seat!" 2010-01-18
By mrslurky (Somewhere in the USA)
My daughter is two years old and is old enough to do away with the safety straps of her old convertible high chair to booster seat combo. I hated how messy that old booster seat got after her meals. Food and drinks would soak into the straps and find their way to every nook and cranny in that seat. I got tired of cleaning it. I stumbled upon this booster seat on Amazon quite by accident. It looked like what I needed--easy to clean, durable, slip-proof, and best of all, NO STRAPS--so I ordered it. I was a little worried about it being described as a type of foam, but it feels more like rubber than foam and is very durable. It is nice and comfortable, so my daughter likes using it. When it gets dirty, I just wipe it off with a wet rag or carry it off to the sink to rinse. Because of the texture, some stains (such as blueberry) have set, but it's not a big issue. It's very light weight and compact, so we can take it along to restaurants if we wanted to. This booster seat is a must-have for parents with small children.

"Buy the BabySmart Cooshee seat" 2009-06-30
By Sam I Am (Northeast Illinois)
We have the mint colored Prince Lionheart soft booster seat. After 18 months of use with our middle child this product has developed cracks around the rear edge of the seat. While the booster is still useable, I'm guessing it will be completely unusable in about 6 months. I'm not sure if the cracks are because of the material used in creating the seat or the the seat design. The seat is open on the bottom with ribs or cross bars to support the seat made from the same plastic material as the seat. The seat is cracking where there is no material reinforcement.

Our older child has used the BabySmart Cooshee Booster Seat for 4+ year and it is still going strong. The BabySmart Cooshee Booster has a solid base. I'm not how it's designed internally, but it's held up very well.

"Nice but a bit too wide for our chairs" 2009-11-30
By Allison D (Tucson, AZ United States)
I agonized over the purchase of this booster seat, reading reviews and considering all the features. This seat would have been just right for us EXCEPT that it is too wide to fit all the way back into our dining room chairs. We have regular old bow-back chairs, so I didn't think I'd need to worry about the fit. It turns out that if a booster doesn't fit back against the back of the seat, the center of gravity shifts too far forward for it to be safe. Although we are currently using this seat for our 5 1/2 month old, I can tell that we will have to replace it with a different one soon. If he were to lean forward, the whole chair and booster might tip over. I can't give this seat a good review because even basic research on the part of the company would have shown that making the back 1/2 narrower would increase safety tremendously. A lot of people have chairs like ours.

 "So far, so good" 2009-08-28

I bought this to bring with us to friend's houses and on vacations. We recently used it on vacation. It is easy to set up and breakdown and works perfectly for our nine month old - it is even easier to use than his high chair. I am very pleased with this purchase and look forward to using it as he grows.

"Purchased for 4 month old grandson - love it!" 2010-02-10
By G-ma C (Phoenix, AZ)
We purchased the Super Seat for our grandson when he was four months old and not yet able to sit on his own. He loves sitting in his little chair. Provides him with independence and a whole different view of everything. He loves playing with the toys, chewing on them and spinning them. The removable portion of the tray slides on and off easily, to set him in or lift him out. Now at six months, he continues to use his Super Seat daily. We are very pleased with this purchase!

 "Great little seat!" 2009-04-26

This is a wonderful little seat! Our son is 7 months old and is as big as alot of 1 year olds already so we were having trouble finding a seat that fit him (the bumbo was way to small!) So we finally tried this and are very pleased with it. It's great to use at the table but also on the floor.

"One of the better seats on the market" 2008-08-13
By JBMFL (florida)
My husband and I researched many children's seats and found this to be the best one yet. It keeps our son snugly in his seat. He is 19 months and is constantly moving and doesn't like to sit still for very long. The seat is comfy and secure, however the seat straps for the chair are not long enough to fasten around the chair we have securely. We rigged it securely enough until we finish with our home renovation and are ready to purchase another chair style. This was a great find and I would recommend this chair to anyone.

"Call company for replacement straps, the seat works much better now" 2009-11-20
By H's Mommy (Nutley, NY)
I liked the modern design of this booster, but thought the strap design was very poor. Who thought it would be a good idea for the strap that connects the booster to the seat be attached to the straps that keep the kid in the seat? And the straps didn't even fit our chair, didn't tighten enough. My 3 yo son would move so the booster would raise off the chair and sometimes almost topple him and the chair out.

I called the company, as I unfortunately waited too long to return the product to Amazon, and they offered to send new straps. Basically there's the original strap, plus another one that straps the booster to the back of the seat as well. Now he sits better and the seat is much safer. It's still annoying when the straps that keep him in place fall through the holes and I have to dig for it though.

So all in all, the booster is ok now - he sits still and the seat belts keep him from getting out of this seat, but really there should have been a better original design for the straps.

 "Annoying straps" 2009-11-13
By M. Dean (Gainesville, FL)
I don't have any other booster for comparison, but this is cute and seems comfortable and sturdy. The straps are annoying, however, in that it is all one piece. A little difficult to attach to chair, and then when my son is in it it's nice and tight, but when he's not, the whole thing is loose so he can pull the seat off the chair, leaving it hanging over the side, and it takes a while to readjust again for use. I'd like one where the booster is attached firmly to the seat whether or not my son is strapped in it.

 "Awesome booster seat!" 2009-11-09
By Nicole Reid (Seattle, WA)
I bought this seat to replace a hook on highchair that was ripping apart. My 2 1/2 year old loves the chair and it's the perfect height for her to eat at the counter or table. It's comfortable and the best part-she can't get out of it!

"Cute seat but terrible straps" 2009-10-30
By
I really liked the modern design of the seat, and my 3 yo son had wrecked his Cooshee Booster seat, plus I was thrilled this had seat belts. However, the seatbelt that straps the child in is connected to the strap for the chair, and you have to adjust for the width of your child to make it fit on the chair appropriately, and the seat doesn't even fit on my standard dining room chair. So when my son sits on the chair, he can lean forward and lift the booster seat up and has even tipped the chair over. Very dangerous. I tried using the seat without the straps, but it moves around too much, it's really not designed to be used without the seat belt. Overall, I am very frustrated by this booster and kicking myself that i didn't return this to Amazon already. I have a call out to the company to see if they can help me out.

Our 2yo loves this booster seat - she often sits in it for fun in addition to mealtimes. She climbs into it on her own and buckles herself right in so it is easy to use. Definitely helps with her struggle to sit down at mealtime. Also, it is easy to clean, lightweight and good looking. Glad we chose this one!
