 "Strong Perfume Odor" 2010-02-07
By Verne Stolte (Iowa)
My purchase has been airing out for nearly 2 months. It smells like it has been dipped and soaked in perfume. At first I let it outgas in an attached garage but eventually moved it outside where I suppose it serves as a wildlife repellent.

I'm not sure how it works as a booster seat but if you want instant potpourri - odd mixture of chemical outgassing and a kind of baby powder smell - then this is for you. It makes my eyes water.

Other reviews talk about the paint peeling off. Perhaps, this coating is the source of the odor. After some more "weathering" I hope to let my granddaughter try it out before she graduates to regular chairs.

"Buy the Cooshee brand - these are very hard to clean" 2010-02-02
By It's time to play! (San Francisco)
I purchased four of these for my daycare and regret it. They are very hard to clean because the seat has a texture that food sticks in. There's no just wiping these down. You have to spray them down and really scrub. I have owned the Cooshee brand as well and they are far superior. I wish I would have spent the extra few dollars for Cooshees.

 "Nice and Comfy" 2010-02-02

This does it's job. I have to scrub the seat with a Magic Eraser because a normal wash cloth sometimes will not remove the food.

"Finally, an East to Clean Booster Seat!" 2010-01-18
By mrslurky (Somewhere in the USA)
My daughter is two years old and is old enough to do away with the safety straps of her old convertible high chair to booster seat combo. I hated how messy that old booster seat got after her meals. Food and drinks would soak into the straps and find their way to every nook and cranny in that seat. I got tired of cleaning it. I stumbled upon this booster seat on Amazon quite by accident. It looked like what I needed--easy to clean, durable, slip-proof, and best of all, NO STRAPS--so I ordered it. I was a little worried about it being described as a type of foam, but it feels more like rubber than foam and is very durable. It is nice and comfortable, so my daughter likes using it. When it gets dirty, I just wipe it off with a wet rag or carry it off to the sink to rinse. Because of the texture, some stains (such as blueberry) have set, but it's not a big issue. It's very light weight and compact, so we can take it along to restaurants if we wanted to. This booster seat is a must-have for parents with small children.

"Buy the BabySmart Cooshee seat" 2009-06-30
By Sam I Am (Northeast Illinois)
We have the mint colored Prince Lionheart soft booster seat. After 18 months of use with our middle child this product has developed cracks around the rear edge of the seat. While the booster is still useable, I'm guessing it will be completely unusable in about 6 months. I'm not sure if the cracks are because of the material used in creating the seat or the the seat design. The seat is open on the bottom with ribs or cross bars to support the seat made from the same plastic material as the seat. The seat is cracking where there is no material reinforcement.

Our older child has used the BabySmart Cooshee Booster Seat for 4+ year and it is still going strong. The BabySmart Cooshee Booster has a solid base. I'm not how it's designed internally, but it's held up very well.
