 "Not For Active Babies!" 2009-09-15
By Laura Elise Gjere (Camp Darby Army Base, Italy)
I have a very large and active ten month old baby. This high chair looks cute, but the fabric back slips around. My daughter kicks or leans to one side and the whole chair topples over with her in it. This is not a safe situation! The straps attaching the booster to the dining chair also won't stay tightened - we have to adjust them every time we put her in/take her out because they loosen up. The chair has fallen so many times that now we keep one hand on the booster while our baby eats, which is obviously not ideal. We are shopping for a new high chair. This is the first booster seat I have used with my active younger daughter (my calmer older daughter used to use an occassional booster at Grandma's and did fine), so it may be the fact that it is a booster instead of a stand-alone high chair, and not this particular item. However, I'm not buying another one to find out! I would recommend if you have a larger, active baby or toddler, you purchase a stand-alone high chair, or perhaps if you have a very sturdy table one that attaches to the table.

 "It's Perfect!!!" 2009-09-05
By Just Jake
What I love most about this chair is how small it gets when folded up. We travel a lot so it's such a light item to take with us, not heavy or bulky at all! The cushion is very light and can be easily taken off when dirty along with the straps. Very easy set up and very easy to fold down. The only problem we have is that our table has a lip on it so our son can't sit snug up against the table but he manages just fine. He doesn't use the tray that often but it will come in handy for a baby who can't feed themselves with a fork and spoon. I definitely recommend this chair!

My son and I love this booster chair. Hes at that stage where he wants to run around everywhere but if his chair is in sight he would rather sit in it than run around (even at church).

 "The best seat!" 2008-05-27
By Wendy Yee
We love this seat! We have two of the Fisher-Price Healthy seats, but we needed another one to carry around with us in the car. The Sesame Street one was found in the back of the Baby Depot, but wow, we love it! MOre importantly, Baby loves it! The high back helps him to sit up straight and the high sides keep him from leaning over the edges, as he does with the F-P seat. The tray is a little snug to get on, but it's not a big problem. We really like the light cushion and rubber-soled feet. The only thing I would suggest for improvement is having a lid or cover for the tray so that when you carry it around, it won't get dirty. It does not attach to the seat when folded up for transport. I love this seat and would highly recommend it.

 "great idea, poorly made" 2009-11-17
By Melinda (Goshen, CT)
I purchased this seat for my son about a year ago. As I write this today it is completely cracked. The "seat" area is cracked and the "hybak" has cracked so much that a piece of it has broken off. I had the original cooshee seat for my daughter for 6+ years with no problem. It still looks like new! but this new model has been awful. Very unhappy with it. Would not recommend it to anyone

"2 Years On and Going Strong" 2009-10-05
By Ben C. (Massachusetts)
Have been using this for 2 years now, every day, on finished wooden dining room chairs. I have the lime green colored seat, which is a color I don't believe is currently available. No issues whatsoever. It actually looks like it does the day we bought it. No cracking, peeling, or bending of the booster seat material, nor any staining of furniture as some reviewers have mentioned. I do remove the booster and wipe it off in the sink after just about every meal, so perhaps people with furniture problems are just leaving the seat on the chair for weeks at a time without removing it to clean it? I'm rarely impressed with any child products, and am usually disappointed with them, but this booster is impressive and my daughter should be growing out of it just in time for my son to "inherit" it!

 "Would never purchase again" 2009-09-14
By tuesdaymarie
We have three of these boosters. I'm very surprised at how many 5 star ratings these have gotten and am wondering if most people just rated the item within the first few days/weeks of receiving it.

We bought these boosters a bit over a year ago.

The things I LOVE about them are:

They stay in place on the seat.

They have no cracks, crevices, holes, gaps or grooves where food and crumbs can collect.

Very simple to clean.

Comfortable for the kids.

They have no belts (I find belts annoying).

They are lightweight and easily moved from one place (home or chair) to another.

The things I DESPISE about them are:

They permanently damage expensive furniture.

They fall apart within a year, and NO $50 booster seat should fall apart in a year's time.

Because these seats are made of dense, anti-slipping foam material, which is a REAL plus because you do not have to strap it to your chair, it has the adverse side-effect of adhering so tightly to the seat of your chair that it creates a bond with whatever is on your chair - varnish, paint, etc. Break that bond = ruin the finish on your chair. All three of my chairs are ruined. Like another reviewer said, these $50 seats will cost us hundreds in the end when it's time to fix our furniture. That is unacceptable, to me. There should have been some warning to that effect on the product.

The other thing that upsets me is the fact that my boosters are falling apart. Because they are foam, they harden somewhat over time, and the creases that will eventually form in the new seats - along the backs, sides, etc. - slowly turn into deep creases, then tears, which then quickly turn into large rips. SO large that on one my seats a chunk was dangling from the side, and on another seat the base of the seat was nearly disconnected from the back. I had to purchase foam glue, which gave me temporary results but even that's starting to fizzle away and the boosters are breaking apart again.

My children do not stand on their boosters, jump on them or mistreat them in anyway. They just sit in them like children are supposed to, and use the sides and backs to support them as is intended. Still, they are falling apart. (And they look awful).

For the $150 I spent on these, PLUS the shipping, I am frankly disgusted that they have lasted a bit more than ONE YEAR and have ruined my furniture. Most boosters can last an entire family's worth of children, and even into the next generation! These...no.

I will never, ever recommend these to anyone and once these are shot, I will never purchase them again. I am going to stick with the one-piece plastic boosters that will cost me 20 something dollars and last forever.

My son loves, loves, loves this seat. He couldn't wait to jump in (to my shear happiness!) ... Mealtime has become less of struggle now that the high-chair has gone the way of all flesh! lol

He carries this around, watches his Blues Clues in it (it's his "thinking chair"). It's light and portable enough to bring to restaurants and when visiting! Doesn't damage furniture, and sticks very well to any non-fabric surface. No sliding folks! Just a super-fantastic seat!

Great chair to use for your child to transition from a highchair but is not yet ready to sit at the table on a regular chair. This booster stays in place and is very easy to clean. I like that it comes with a storage bag, too.

"Summer Infant 3-Stage Super Seat" 2010-01-12
By JMR (Pollok, Texas USA)
The 3-Stage Summer Infant Seat is a well designed fully functional item we purchased for our first grand baby for Christmas 2009. This item can be used 4 mons. to 4 yrs. That is a plus in its self. We decided to purchase this item instead of a Bumbo seat...(which is limited and cannot be used up to 4 yrs). The insert (which is sort of a thick rubbery soft texture, keeps baby from sliding) can be removed as the child grows to allow for more wiggle room and comfortable of ease in movement. The tray can be completely removed, so the seat can be securely attached to the dining room chair for meal time. The entire seat can be washed with soap and water, for cleanliness. Seat has straps to securely attach to the chair. And the tray turns for change, so baby does not get bored with the attached toys that are in easy reach. There is two removable shallow cups for a sippy cup or snacks. My daughter loves this seat. My daughter places it on the bathroom floor for the baby, while she is taking a bath. Oh, it has straps to secure baby in the seat safely. When we want to see the baby on Skype, my son-in-law places the baby in this wonderful seat in front of the computer. They have a military life, and this seat has been their favorite gift for baby, because of its versitility. The parents have named it the baby's "clown seat", because it is also colorful.

"Still using it at 20 months!" 2010-01-11
By lillie (Nebraska)
We've had this since my son was 5 months old and with his chubby legs, we were super excited to realize the insert came out very easily. He still sits in this to eat on the floor and still plays with the toys (though now it's just to let us know he's finished eating).

I also use this instead of a pack-n-play or gates for those times when I need to use the restroom and don't feel comfortable letting him roam by himself. He will sit in it to watch My Baby Can Read or to color for at least half an hour.

We haven't switched over to the booster seat yet, but we've already used it at list triple the amount of time I would have estimated when purchasing it. I really loved the fact that I knew he wasn't going to flip himself over and how easy it is to clean. I just stick the whole thing in the tub once a week for a deep clean and wash the tray after every meal.

 "Love it!!!" 2010-01-06
By Sara Hower
I was considering purchasing a Bumbo seat but then saw this product and was able to try it out first. My 5 month old isn't quite ready for an Exersaucer but needs something else to do besides sit in a swing when not being held. She hates reclining but loves sitting up so this is perfect for her. I love the fact that this seat is more versatile than the Bumbo or Bebe pod. It actually straps onto a chair, making it into a booster seat which the other seats don't. When you spend the money to buy a tray for the Bumbo/Bebe pod the cost is almost the same.

 "LOVE IT!" 2009-07-02
By Connie Jean (Canton, OH)
I just love this little seat! We don't have a lot of room in our kitchen so this little seat sits on the table. My grandson is 5 months old right now, but I've been using it since he was 3-1/2 months. It's just wonderful to sit him in while I do dishes or get dinner ready or make a cup of coffee. He plays with the toys and it really keeps him busy while I get things done. It's good for at least 15-20 minutes until it's on to something else. I've even stated using it while I feed him his cereal, although once he's eating other solids, I'll have to get him something without toys on it! This is well worth the money!!!

 "Not worth the money!" 2009-06-25
By Melissa L. Dieterich (Kenosha, WI USA)
I looked at this product as an opposition to the Bumbo seat, and thought that the 3-in-1 product was a great idea. However, the parts are very cheaply made, and I don't think that it was worth the money I spent on it. If you have $50 laying around, go for it, but if you're looking for an investment for the next couple of years, pass this one by.

 "Great High Chair!!" 2009-12-21
By M. Burningham (Eagle Mountain, UT United States)
I carefully shopped all the products before making this purchase. We love it!! My grand-kids think it's great. With the tray on, it is a perfect high chair. With the tray removed the older kids can use it as a booster to sit at the table with the grown-ups. My opinion is that if you have this booster seat you would NOT need to purchase a high chair that takes up more room. It is simple and easy to clean and set up/take down! Love it!!

"Booster Seat or High Chair?" 2009-08-18
By Jahrensky
I was debating about whether I should buy a high chair or booster seat for quite some time. I hate clutter and I didn't want something too big being that he will outgrow it soon. I feel this is the best choice I made. Its cute, it attaches safely and tightly to the chair and he loves being in it. It is also very easy to clean which is important to me. I didn't want any fabric on it that I'd have to take off and wash all the time.

My son is 6 months old and determined to learn how to sit on his own. He loved this chair. I recommend it. Great price.

 "so great that I bought 2" 2009-08-17
By Jessica C. Pienta
A "normal" high chair was too obnoxiously huge for our kitchen and we wanted our son to be able to sit at the table with the rest of us so we purchased the affordable lion booster. We liked it so much that we ended up buying a second one a month later so that we could have it already set up at both our kitchen table and our dining room table. Our son (now 9 months old and big for his age) really likes it. We even use it at the piano for him. It's easy to clean and straps on tightly to our chairs - without leaving a mark. This was an excellent purchase that I recommend to everyone with kids. Don't buy a big highchair - there's no point.

"My son loves this seat!" 2009-06-15
By H. VanWormer
We bought this for my son when he was about 17 months old. We were ready to move the high chair out of our dining room, but weren't comfortable using the products that go under a traditional dining chair and lift it up - he's just too active for that. He's loved this chair since we brought it home. We don't use the tray, we just pull him up to the table with us. It's attached securely to our own dining chair, is very easy to clean and can easily be removed if we're having adults over for dinner.

Now when it's time for a meal or snack, I just ask him to go stand next to his "lion chair" and he knows what to do. He loves being able to eat at the table like we do and we love the ease of this booster. We'll definitely take it with us when we go to grandma's house, etc. Highly recommend it based on price, durability and the fact that my son loves it.

I just bought this seat to replace a huge high chair. My 18 month old son is so happy to be sitting at the table with us now. He is short so the 2 height adjustments help him reach the table. My only complaint is that the crotch strap doesn't adjust. He can now sit and the table and color or paint. It is an all around success! I am very happy.

 "Problems with cleaning" 2009-10-10
By A. Boyd (Livermore, CA United States)
When I first got this seat I loved it. It was great. Until I realized that while it looks like 1 piece, it isn't and the belt loops allow liquid to get in between the 2 solid pieces. I finally discovered what that smell in my dining room was, it was the curdled milk that my 2 year old had spilled. Unless you are willing to take the seat off of the chair and apart after every meal, or your child is ONLY going to use a sippy cup I would recommend you pass.

We just got this for my son yesterday. He's 18 months old and was hating his high chair. He's short for his age, so I liked the idea of 2 heights in a booster.

Out of the box, it did smell kinda strong of plastic, but that's not a surprise. It buckled on to the chair really easily and seems very secure. The buckle for him was easy to use and get off quickly.

I love that it's all one piece for easy cleaning! YAY!

 "Very pleased" 2009-07-07
By HMM (Atlanta, GA United States)
I needed a booster seat with a seat belt for my 2-year-old son who is tall for his age. It was surpisingly difficult to find a seat with a seat belt and was wide enough for him to grow into. We have had this seat for 3 months and have been very pleased with it. I like the two height levels and my son seems comfortable in it. It's easy to clean and I had no issue with the odor that others have had. My only complaint is that although the two side straps of the seat belt are adjustable, the crotch strap is not.
