This device has two pieces: the base, which in the picture shows in the front, in between their legs, and then the tray which attaches to the base after your baby is already in the bumbo. I cannot manage to keep the tray on once my baby is in the seat. She lifts her knees up and knocks it off. Then I reattach it, then she knocks it off again. And again. And again. Eventually she gets so squirmy that I can't even manage to reattach it. I was hoping this would be useful for feedings, but the one time I tried that I ended up with a much bigger mess due to the constant tray mishaps. I really don't see the point of this device as it is designed. Maybe if your baby is very still it will work.

My daughter loves playing with her toys on the tray when in her Bumbo. I found that I can attach her links to the rim of the tray so they don't fall on the floor. It is also great for feeding her - we haven't pulled out her full-sized high chair yet and use the Bumbo instead.
For those reviewers who said their child pulled the tray top off - it sounds like you haven't properly attached it. The center piece that attaches to the front of the bumbo SNAPS IN to the top piece. Those two pieces should be permanently attached to each other. To put it on the bumbo you slide the top tray part over the middle hump of the bumbo, then slide the center part under the bottom of the bumbo. When properly used there is absolutely no way a baby would be able to pull it apart.

Both of our girls used our Bumbo, and it was great! They were able to sit comfy & supported in a sitting position before they were able to sit all on their own even while they were still too small for a high chair. They were able to sit interact with us and watch how we used utensils while we ate. They weren't stuck lying on their backs anymore. We got this as a gift, and it was one of our most treasured baby things! I see that they're selling Bumbo & Tray "combos" now, but if you have a Bumbo without a tray, it's a must to get one!

The Bumbo tray is great. We have a high chair as well but we still use the Bumbo sometimes to feed him. The tray makes it a lot easier. Plus I can put his toys etc. on top so they're in easy reach for him to play with.
I agree with other reviewers that it's very expensive and not worth paying full price. I bought my Bumbo + tray used from another mom and would suggest that you do the same. These things are pretty much indestructible and easily cleaned so there is no need get one brand new.

The table sent to me was actually a different version than what is pictured. I had one like I was sent this time before that broke very easily so I was thinking I would be getting something different since the picture was different. The table I was sent was clear and has a plastic piece that attaches to the bottom of the table and helps connect it to the seat. This piece is very easy to break or misplace since it doesn't really attach well. Also I could have bought the clear one that I was sent for $5 less from Babies R Us.
