"Great hook-on chair, with one major flaw." 2010-01-21
By Katherine R. Bosken (North Carolina)
I bought this chair when my son was about 10 months old so I could stop folding up the Chicco highchair in our kitchen when guests came over. It was great for that purpose, and now I just leave it attached to the table most of the time!

Washing the cover, however, is much more difficult than I'd expect from Chicco. There's a foam no-slip lining for the top bar that makes sliding the cover off really frustrating, and I struggled with it for a good 10 minutes before making any real progress. The worst part is that I didn't even need to wash the entire cover. I just needed to wash the arm pads, which Chicco should have made removable. Instead, the arm pads are sewn onto the inside part of the chair cover, even though they only attach with snaps to the outside of the cover. I'm considering cutting the arm cover free since it doesn't seem to be a structural part of the chair, but from Chicco, I feel like it should have been done right when it came out of the box.

 "Really cute functional chair." 2009-11-23
By M. Borski (Phoenix, AZ)
I used these types of seats with my kids (don't trust highchairs) so I went looking for one for my granddaughter. All the secondhand baby stores were out of them, Walmart products suck. So I went looking online. This seat is a very good buy. Very simple to use. Super cute hippos on the attachment arms. Attaches to my counter top, patio table, kitchen table, etc. It comes with a neat little carry bag if you need to travel with it. and it is washable! great product. Not sure why people said it wouldn't attach to a table with a lip....you have to tip it to get it to attach, gotta be smarter than a chair! Super sturdy connection, doesn't move (if you do it right) I would reccommend this as well as buy it again or give as a gift. Would be ideal for apartment dwellers with limited space. The previous comments about the gap are true, sometimes you can't help but have a minor gap where stuff falls through, but the tip about a placemat works great. Only "downside" to it that I found.

"love the compact design -- no floor space lost" 2009-10-13
By KNSudha (Saratoga, CA USA)
I saw that a new model the 360 is available, and would go for that instead of this --

This is almost perfect -- I loved travelling with it, and its awesome. The cons

are that it takes a lot of wiping down to clean up, with quite a bit of elbow grease

and the gap between the seat and the counter/table is quite significant. So lots of

food does get dropped down that gap. For everyday use, I found that its really messy

compared to my prima pappa chairs with the removable tray, and vinyl seats. You have

to wipe down with a damp/wet cloth to clean up and since it is made of cloth itself,

it gets wet and needs drying time before the next use. So breakfast to snack time

1-2 hrs is not sufficient drying time sometimes for a really gooey breakfast mess

that I had to wet wipe. Once a week or sometimes more often, I take it off, take out

the arm pieces and cardboard seat foam, and wash it in our laundry sink. (The curved

iron peice stays on the seat since its just too hard to take off and put back on)

The seat is too upright to use for an infant less than about 7 - 8 months old. So for the first

two months I had to use only my prima pappas that have a recline and lots more support with

a five point harness. I did not have theses for my older son and switched from high chair to

stokke when he was 2 or so.

As a pro, it wipes up /washes up to look as good as new week after week and I have had

it for 6 mo or so of constant use. I have them up on my island, so that they can eat

while watching me cook etc. and feel more part of what we are doing in the kitchen.

I use the prima pappa's still a lot and totally love those. If I had to give one up,

I would say I would give up the prima pappas, but really could not have used these

to start feeding my twins for a few mo.

 "chicco travel seat" 2009-08-20

Was disappointed with product. Was there quality control? The screw on the right side did not work ,so I had to improvise to make it tighten to the table. There was not enough time to order another or send it back for a different one.

 "Love it!" 2009-07-24
By Yunker
I love this seat! It is so handy to carry to restaurants, friends' houses, etc. My son loves it because he is a little higher than he is in a high chair and it is so easy to feed him in it. It washes easily and is very sturdy. (I do put a chair underneath him to be safer.) My 11 month old is 33" tall and 24 lbs and is very active. This chair can take everything that he dishes out!! I would give it 5 stars except that it does not fit on every table and the bag is a little flimsy so I just carry it in the stroller basket so it's always there if I need it.
